Description: Eastern Exterior Wall Systems, Inc. (EEWS) designs, fabricates and installs exterior walls for commercial and institutional buildings. Its core competencies are engineering, manufacturing, and project management.
The information on the architect’s drawings is insufficient for EEWS to manufacture and install. EEWS provides architect’s drawings to Infotech for creation of panel sketches and piece tickets. Infotech design defines and refines the architect’s information and provides the output to an accuracy of 1/8 inch. In addition, the drawings also indicate details of how the walls are attached to the building structure.
Panel sketches provide information to the shop to facilitate manufacturing. Panel sketches are detailed drawings of each panel showing structure and finish. The information on panel sketches comes directly from shop drawings. In addition, some panels require dimensional stone or prefabricated metal pans. Sketches of the stone and metal pans, called piece tickets, are made in the beginning of the panel sketch process.
