Business Development Manager
Panta Lesco Overseas Ltd. is a building services contractor. My role is to promote the company’s services in new venture markets in the Middle East. Established partnership with companies in the UAE and Oman, which had potential to form joint ventures.
During this time I am also managing the air conditioning section of a sister company within the same group. This section has an annual turnover of EUR 2.5 million, which is quite appreciable, considering the size of the Maltese market.
1996 to 2006 Elesco Ltd. Malta
Company Administrator / Project Manager
Elesco Ltd, a subsidiary of Panta Lesco Group, was awarded the sub-contract electrical installation in a new 800-bed hospital. I was entrusted with the running of this company and with the project management of the works on site. With a workforce of over 100, both local and expatriate, and a fully-fledged project office staff, which included, quantity surveyor, quality inspectors, supervisors, and designers, the project was carried out on schedule and within budget despite the controversies the project went through.
In the early stages of construction, the client changed the scope and had to redesign the works and therefore, our services were suspended. During this 2-year period, I was seconded to a sister company within the group, Panta Lesco International Ltd as a technical consultant for the North African market.

J.R.D. Ltd is the local representative for SIEMENS Gmbh of Germany for industrial, telecommunications, and marine products. One had to familiarize oneself with the vast range of products Siemens offers and advice the client the most cost effective solution. It brews and bottles Carlsberg beer, while it bottles popular international brands, Pepsi, Schweppes, Britvic, etc. As a plant engineer I was responsible for the preventive and breakdown maintenance of the bottling plant and ancillary equipment.

Station Manager
Dowell Schlumberger is a world-renowned service company for the oil field industry. I was responsible for its operations in Iraq and Jordan during difficult war conditions in Baghdad. Despite these conditions, the company kept operating to provide this essential service to the local oil industry.
I joined the company as a trainee, attended and graduated from its in-house training school and served as a Service Engineer and Technical Services Engineer in Libya and Abu Dhabi.
