Established in South Australia more than 70 years ago our client is publicly listed and one of the only chemical/mining plants of its kind in the country. Turnover has now risen to above $130m through the domestic and international sales of these vital ingredients to a diverse range of industries.

Reporting to the Engineering Manager, the Electrical/Instrumentation Engineer will be able to demonstrate broad experience with regards to HV power systems as they relate in an industrial plant. You do not need to be a PLC programmer, but it is critical that you are able to troubleshoot the various PLC systems in this heavy industrial environment. You will need to be prepared to roll up your sleeves to perform HV isolations in emergency situations and at the same time, have a good understanding of the design of HV systems to oversee concepts created by third party consultants.

With several years experience in heavy industrial environments you will not be daunted if called upon to change HV fuses and circuit breakers, and at the same time you will need to provide clear direction and communication to the rest of the Electrical team.

You are able to demonstrate your technical capabilities within an operational context and have the ability to evaluate problems using sound frameworks and root cause analysis tools. To be successful in this position you must be self motivated and a team player.
