Job Description

Our client is Australia's market leading provider of turnkey wind power solutions and has a combined workforce of over 12,000 staff across five continents. At present they are currently recruiting for a Measurements Engineer to join their Melbourne based wind engineering team.

The person:

Suitable candidates will possess the following skills, experience and educational background:

• Mechanical Engineering degree (or similar)
• Strong understanding of wind engineering principles and experience using WAsP
• Understanding of IEC61400 series of standards (preferred but not essential)
• Proven project management skills

Role/Responsibilities:

Reporting directly to the Wind Engineering Manager, this role is responsible for all aspects of wind turbine performance testing (both noise and power curves) including:

• Test site identification
• Calculation of valid test sectors
• Management of the site calibration process including management of mast and instrument specifications, procurement, reinstallation testing, installation and as built documentation of met masts
• Data management and reporting
• Procurement of power meters and management of installation, data management and PCV calculations including calculation of test uncertainty
• Management of noise testing equipment and data
