Department of Main Roads is investing $16.2 billion over the next five years on road and transport infrastructure that will connect our future, while simultaneously managing the State’s largest asset – a 35,500 km road network valued at over $37 billion.
Our Central district, based in Rockhampton is seeking Civil Designers. You will be project managing your own road design and detail design projects including range crossings, interchanges, overpasses, pavement widening and drainage designs.
Your responsibilities will include:
Consulting with the public and other internal and external stakeholders
Advising on designs and construction queries
Training and mentoring cadets
Ensuring quality, cost effectiveness and timeliness of projects
You will have:
Bachelor of Technology (Civil), Associate Degree in Civil Engineering, Advance Diploma in Engineering or equivalent
Road and drainage design experience
12D or MX software experience would be advantageous
Excellent communication skills
Prior project management experience
