Principal Consultant Hydrogeology
We are looking for a Principal Hydrogeology Consultant to join our talented team based in our Brisbane office. To be successful in this role, you must have the following:
• minimum of 8 years experience in the environmental science or engineering fields;
• tertiary qualification in geology, engineering or related fields is essential;
• exceptional interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills;
• high level of computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office;
• be honest, ethical and maintain confidentiality;
• efficient time management skills;
• show attention to detail in everything you do;
• be able to cultivate and nurture positive relationships with co-workers and treat people with respect and trust; and
• be autonomous, have a good sense of humour and also have the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
With direction from the Manager Hydrogeology, the Principal Consultant will be responsible for and expected to:
• deliver effective water management solutions for a range of projects primarily for Clients in Queensland
• evaluate site and desktop-based hydrogeological problems with a competent and pragmatic approach;
• apply analytical and mathematical techniques to address groundwater issues;
• design groundwater monitoring programs and evaluation of both water level and water quality data produced from monitoring;
• use modelling results to design groundwater installations, including - borefields, pit dewatering functions and monitoring bores;
• design monitoring bores and, where required, supervise their construction and commissioning;
• design and supervise the construction and testing of water supply bores.
• manage several complex projects in parallel;
• develop a credible and trusting relationship with clients, and managing scope changes smoothly; and
• deliver projects to all three of the following key performance indicators:
quality of outcome;
timing of milestones and final deliverables; and
budgets.
This position will report directly to the Manager Hydrogeology.
