My client, a global organisation and industry leader in service delivery, currently seeks a highly experienced Microsoft Systems Engineer with strong skills in SMS 2003 and exposure to System Center Configuration Manager 2007 (SCCM) to be involved in the continued deployment and configuration of assigned project assignments.
Responsibilities:Provide 3rd Level support across technology in scope within defined agreementsTake ownership for the operational effectiveness of the technology in scopeDocument procedures for 1st and 2nd level support staffFollow all operational policies, procedures and work instructionsPlan, test and implement hardware and software upgradesEnsure systems delivered to production environment are built to documented standardsMaintain and enhance documentation of production environment
Essential Skills:Active DirectoryStrong experience in a SCOM/MOM focused role Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) and Systems Centre Configuration Manager (SCCM)Microsoft Services (DNS, DHCP, WINS, IIS)Microsoft Operating Systems (2000/XP/2003/Vista)Microsoft Exchange Server (2003/2007)Windows ManagementMicrosoft SQL Server (2000/2005)Citrix metaframeSymantec NetBackup and Backup Exec
Qualifications:Tertiary qualification in IT discipline or equivalent3 years experience with multi-server Microsoft Exchange environments3 years experience Microsoft NT domains and Active Directory3 years experience providing IT support to enterprise environmentsMCSE Certified
