Our client is a world class engineering, construction and maintenance company with business units in civil and marine, mechanical, electrical, pipelines, tunnelling and underground services employing in excess of 6,500 personnel and operates throughout Australia; New Zealand, the Pacific Islands; South East Asia and the Middle East.
We have been directed to search the globe for the best HSE Advisors / Managers available in today’s market to work on several extremely high profile, large scale and ground-breaking projects along the East and West Coasts of Australia. We have positions available in Western Australia, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide.
These positions are challenging and will see you providing HSE advice and management to all colleagues within the project
Typically the role involves:
Safety inspections
Investigations and Audits
Training, induction and assessment
Mentoring
Facilitating improvement programs/strategies
Driving effective integration of workplace hazard/risk management programs.
Accountable for collating and reporting data relating to proactive safety performance, this position works closely with operation managers and supervisors to coach and mentor field staff in methods designed to improve workplace safety.
To be successful in this role you will have:
Previous experience providing HSE services in the resources sector;
Qualifications considered relevant to this role;
An understanding of HSE requirements in a resources industry environment;
Experience in preparing and implementing by instruction and training safe and healthy work practices;
Demonstrated skills relating to investigating incidents, risk management processes and improving safety performance at site level;
Demonstrated interpersonal skills with ability to build relationships with clients, management and staff at all levels;
Good communication (verbal and written) and leadership skills with the capacity to develop a sense of team spirit toward achieving Company goals and objectives
